Adjustment of customs duties and opening of tariff quotas for the import of certain goods originating in the United States of America

This vote is about lowering customs duties on certain US goods, as part of the trade deal with the United States.

Background

In August 2025 the EU and the United States reached a political deal to avoid a trade war: the US caps most of its tariffs on European goods at 15%, and in return the EU removes its duties on US industrial goods. This text, negotiated with governments, implements the European side.

Adopted: 440 for, 151 against, 50 abstentions, 77 did not vote.
